A Postmodern World

What exactly is postmodernism? The answer to this question is ultimately open to interpretation. In my opinion, the idea of postmodernism is one's interpretation of all aspects of life including culture, media, and art, straying from modernism.

Living in the postmodern world of today the line between media and reality has become virtually inexistent. Our reality is now determined and dominated by images skewed by the media that we are regularly exposed to. These representations ultimately create our perception of reality. Our reality is not truly "pure" in that these altered images are already ingrained in our minds. In conjunction with our ever increasing exposure to media, technological advances have allowed these images to be further distorted and distributed, thus creating an even more evident hyper-reality.
