Apple's Newest Product that does more than just Tell Time

In Apple's most recent event last Tuesday, September 9, 2014, multi-billion dollar company Apple released their three newest products that will be up for sale quite soon. One of the three products includes a product like nothing before; an Apple Watch.

The Apple watch is estimated to be priced at $299, but the actual cost is unclear. The watch includes three different styles: "Apple Watch", "Apple Watch Sport", and "Apple Watch Edition". The normal Apple Watch seems to be the most average version of the watch, including all features of hundreds of different styles of clocks (between analog and digital) and a list of unique applications. The Apple Watch Sport comes with a wristband that seems irresistible to sweat and uniquely designed for athletes. Last but not least, the Apple Watch Edition - by far being the most elegant in my opinion - is estimated to be priced the highest including 18 karat gold, custom bands, and special features not included on the other two watches

It is seemingly obvious that the Apple Watch Edition was created to not only put Apple's foot in the watch market, but also to compete with top of the line watch brands such as Rolex, Cartier, and Omega. At the end of the day, I think that the average watch buyer will not catch on to the trend of the Apple Watch immediately, but as more and more apps are released for the watch specifically and the complete potential of it is shown, I think all watch connoisseurs will eventually catch on.

  1. Apple is falling off. Nothing is innovative about a wristwatch that does the same stuff and a little less than all of our phones. Samsung is catching up in the game.
