Living in a Postmodern World

The definition of modern "is of or pertaining to present and recent time; not ancient or remote." If then definition is true, we are living in a modern world because, of coarse, we live in the present. The problem is the ideas of what is present or what is reality has been corrupted by outside sources. We get our ideas of what everything is based on something we have seen before. When we think of the morning, we think waking up and eating breakfast because we have seen other people do it and we assume without question that that is reality. People don't eat a ham sandwich for breakfast because it is not a breakfast food. Humans do not have any original thoughts because society makes a big deal about doing things the right way. the right way to eat breakfast is to eat cereal or toast. A ham sandwich for breakfast is supposed to be wrong so the opportunity for any chance is drastically limited due to the norms created by society.

The postmodern world that we love in is not all bad. we have access to technology that allows us to break away from the limits of postmodern world. we can explore the possibilities on the internet that generations before us could never do. the way we do things his hindered by the postmodern world but the freedom of ideas and adventure will always be present in any era.
