Postmodernism is an idea and way of thinking that has become increasingly popular over the past few years. This idea has become so popular that the current world we live in can be identified as postmodern. Thinking in a postmodern way means seeing things different that what they really are, or are supposed to be. The media has a monumental effect on the way that different things are perceived. There is a postmodern idea that claims "that things are only real because the media says it is so." The media is capable of creating a false world that people believe is real, creating a fake world.
Living in a postmodern world such as this is somewhat paradoxical. We are given something and told it is true, yet at the same time we must question reality and believe it is fake. This makes it difficult to determine what is real and what is not, because we have to believe everything and nothing is postmodern.
I couldn't agree more with what you said. The media has a huge influence on society and now a lot of people live in this world where they don't know what is true or false. Living in a postmodern world is paradoxical. Great job!
