Postmondernism?

Postmodernism seems to have many definitions. One way to describe postmodernism is that its development of the arts, literature, architechture, and technology. Our society today is greatly affected because people are influenced by things they already know about. The media plays a big role in this influence because books and movies show what is acceptable.   Society has successfully been able to have people automatically think of "normal" things that people could possibly do during summer break. 

When people think of summer they would probably think of going downtown, swimming, and simply having fun with their friends.It appears that literally anything could be considered postmodern. For example, if you look at a creative piece of art one could analyze it in great depth and discover the story behind the picture. I'm sort of assuming that postmodernism could be a process of examining literature, art etc. and trying to learn what it truly means.
