Rubio and Pathos

Rubio appeals to pathos through talking about the necessity of a stronger and greater military in America. Rubio first lays out the threats to American stability, most notably "radical jihadists crucifying Christians" and a "Shia cleric trying to obtain nuclear weapons." At these words, the crowd began to applaud his calls for greater national security. His appeal to pathos was so effective because he exposed many of Americans' greatest fears and anxieties.
