It's Always Sunny in Femaledelphia

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a sitcom about a group of narcissistic social deviants that run a small bar in Philadelphia. While the show is entirely comedic and ought not to be taken too seriously, sexism runs rampant in the show, frequently being used as a source of comedy. While the sexism exists in the show, the sense of stupidity amongst the gang of main characters overshadows the sexism and actually manages to belittle sexism into a bad habit of people with pathetic lives and sick minds.

In the episode "The Gang Gets Analyzed" the gang of misfits goes to a psychologist to have themselves each individually analyzed by a female doctor. During one of the characters' private sessions, the man presents himself clearly as being ignorant and stupid. At the end of the session he discredits the doctor, saying he isn't into "the whole female doctor thing". When another one of the gang members is taken into the office, he is condescending towards the doctor. He claims that his psychological expertise is superior to hers, which is a clear delusion. At the end of the session when the doctor asks him what notes he is taking, he presents a drawing of him fondling the doctor's breasts.

While the characters of the show present a brutal sense of disrespect toward women, their own foolishness supersedes the sense of sexism. The show portrays the perpetrators of sexism as losers, and this is the message that should be taken.
