In Class Discussion

When we got to the gender spectrum yesterday in class it was fun to here everyone's points on how it doesn't work. Someone brought up that Mr. Heidkamp was choosing hard topics for the gender spectrum to work with. They said that we should do toys because that would be easy, but I don' think it would have been. I believe that toys would have been just as hard to get something all the way to one side of the gender spectrum. Someone would have brought up dolls and said they are on the girls side of the spectrum. Well let me bring the example of Little Bo Peep from Toy Story. She is a doll and Andy plays with her just as much as any of his other toys, so how can dolls be a put on the girly side of the spectrum. What ever topic that would have been brought up in our conversation it could have easily been placed in the middle of the spectrum.
