We have all had those moments where frustration has gotten the better of us. Many times these moments make us do things that are damaging to ourselves or others. Whether it be punching a wall, or worse, another person, our actions have negative effects. That is where the Stress Brick comes in. It feels like a real brick, but is very soft. Squeeze the hell out of it when you are angry, or throw it at the object of your frustration. You could even throw it at the TV when your team loses. The possibilities are endless.
Oskar would benefit greatly from the stress brick. He experiences so much stress and has no safe way to release it. Instead, he hits himself, covering his body with bruises. The worst part of it is that Oskar would likely move to even more destructive behaviors as he got older. Sometimes, Oskar says hurtful things that he doesn't mean to his mother. He says these things out of frustration With the stress brick he can have a safe way to vent his anger.
