Chafee = No Scandal

When introducing themselves, the candidates immediately use logos to show their character while establishing their platforms. For example, Chafee's use of logos is his lack of a scandal, "I'm proud that over my almost 30 years of public service, I have had no scandals. I've always been honest... Had the courage to take the long-term view and I've shown good judgment. I have high ethical standards".

  1. It was really great to see that you had used direct quotes from Chafee to further prove your rhetorical argument (logos). I think you could have expanded a little more on what exactly in his introduction made the argument have a rhetoric logos appeal. Overall, awesome job!

  2. Do you think that Chafee's decision to mention that he has no scandals was effective in establishing good character? Also, why do you think candidates often immediately use logos, but not pathos or ethos? Great live blog, I like that it is informative and short and the direct quotation shows that you actually drew your conclusion from real evidence. Nice job.
