Takeaways from VP Debate
After the debate finished, there was plenty to take away from. First off, there were instances of agreeable, civil discussion between opponents. This was a nice thing to see especially coming from the past presidential debate wherein the candidates had their moments of immaturity and disrespect. In the end, it all comes down to the vice presidential candidates not committing a newsworthy blunder. The VP candidates are not necessarily representative of their presidential counterparts, and in this case, a CNN/ORC poll says that Pence won this debate, not Kaine. In the end, this was a well argued, civil, and interesting debate, as vice presidential debates go.

I agree that it is interesting how different each vice presidential candidate is from their presidential counterpart, especially Pence and Trump. However, I think they created a newsworthy story in the vice presidential debate because they each did what they were supposed to do, and what Trump and Clinton had failed to do in the first debate, which is argue how their plan to make America better is the best option.
